Mummified body may belong to actress, Playboy Playmate Yvette Vickers

A mummified body believed to be the remains of model-turned-actress Yvette Vickers has been found in her Los Angeles home.

Police suggest the victim may have died a year ago. The body was discovered by a neighbor last week, who grew suspicious after discovering old letters and cobwebs in Vickers' mailbox. The neighbor tells the Los Angeles Times she found the body in an upstairs room of Vickers' dilapidated Benedict Canyon home.

Vickers' film credits include 1958's "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" and 1959's "Attack of the Giant Leeches." Her last feature role was in a 1990 horror called "Evil Spirits." Reports on her age vary between 74 and 82.
